| Comment (Taxonomy): | Initially Rauh wanted to dedicate this new species to its discoverer Enrique G. Kamm. In the protologue he noted, that this gathering was cultivated and sold by Kamm for some time as Tillandsia hondurensis nom. nud. To avoid confusion, he published it with the already introduced name. This happened several times, even Rauh read it incorrectly and cited it as «Rauh Nr. 44 149» in the protologue of the new species Tillandsia hondurensis.
