Entry comment:
|
Accoding to protologue (Backeberg (1957): Descriptiones Cactacearum Novarum 36) type collection has No. "K 72 (1956)" and the locus classicus is cited as "Despoblado prope Morropon". This corresponds to the locality in the fieldbook "Buenos Aires", which is 5 km south of Morropon. In 1958 Rauh cites "zwischen Morropon und Buenos Aires" as locality, but with the No. "K 73 (1956)". Only entry K 72 (1956) has the addition "M. unguispinus", not K 73 (1956). [CNS 2016-04-26]
