Locus classicus according to protologue	Habitat et distributio: Peruvia septentrionali-australis (Rioja, Deptm. San Martin) terricola in sylvis pluviarum apud 800 m. s. m. [German version:] Heimat und Verbreitung: Regenwald, auf sumpfig-sandigem Boden, 20 km westlich Rioja, 800 m, terrestrisch, in tiefem Schatten wachsend (Deptm. San Martin, NE-Peru).
