Locus classicus according to protologue	Habitat et distributio: Peruvia septentrionalis (Dptm. San Martin) infra summum transitum Pomacocha-Rioja, in rupibus humidis apud Rio Nieve in sylva nebulosa apud 1800 m. s. m. [German version:] Heimat und Verbreitung: Unterhalb der Paßhöhe Pomacocha-Rioja (Dptm. San Martin, N-Peru); feuchte Felswände am Rio Nieve im Nebelwald bei 1800 m.
Comments	This Guzmania was collected in Dept. Amazonas, ca. 3 km NW of the border to Dept. San Martin. See Entry 28513. [CNS 2015-02-24]
