[German version:]
| Comments | Rauh erroneously cited in the protologue as gathering number of type material «RAUH 53 674», which is in fact a Pitcairnia paniculata. But on the two type specimens HEID 700060 & 602402 the correct number «RAUH 53 675» was written on the labels. On the label of an alcohol specimen [HEID 202217] the right number was written by Rauh himself: «Pitcairnia blaßgelb 53675».
The gathering date cited in the protologue is wrong. Rauh collected the new Pitcairnia species on 1980-07-08; see Entry 25499. [CNS 2017-06-20] | Names of taxon in WRHP database | Pitcairnia pallidiflavens Rauh (Bromeliaceae)
