| Location comment (Entry): | The locality is not easy to find out, as often with Rauh’s localities... In his fieldbook he wrote «1300m, Abfahrt zum Rio Catamayo {way down to Rio Catamayo}.» In fielddiary HEIDRAUHFDD064 he added «ca. 1000m» with the same pencil which he used to add the fieldnumber. The next point indicated in the fielddiary is «Rio Catamayo, 1000m, Brücke {Bridge}». The only bridge over Rio Catamayo at an elevation of 1000 msm is near San Vicente del Rio. Taking all available data into account, the type locality should be near San Vicente. Coordinates stored in database are estimated from the point with an elevation of 1300 msm at the road to San Vicente. [CNS 2012-09-06] | |
