Location comment (Entry):

In the protologue Rauh indicates «50 m» als altitude of type locality. On 1979-06-10 he drove road MEX 40 from Durango (Durango) to Mazatlán (Sinaloa). Coordinates from the point where MEX 40 crosses the 50 m a.s.l. contour line are stored in the database. This point is ca. 32 km ENE from the town centre of Mazatlan and ca. 6. km NE from Villa Unión (Sinaloa). Here the dry forest dominates the scenery as noted by Rauh in the protologue, whereas the landscape changes into agriculture and farm land near Villa Unión. [CNS 2015-10-28]
