| Location comment (Entry): | There are different elevations of locus classicus indicated: Here a second hand notes «2000 m», in the protologue (see taxon details) Rauh indicates «1700 msm» and on HEIDRAUHFDB069_039 he wrote «1800–1200m». Upper Rio Nieva, who lent his name to the new Guzmania, is found at these altitudes in Dept. Amazonas, ca. 3 km NW of the border to Dept. San Martin, which is cited in the protologue, some km N of Road PE-5N to Rioja (San Martin, Peru), Rauh’s destination for the day. [CNS 2015-02-04] |
